Cursillo #199: A Weekend of Expectation, Prayer, and Light
De Colores! Excitement is already building in our Fourth Day community as we look ahead to Cursillo #199. This familiar greeting reminds us of the fuller, brighter life we find in Christ.
Cursillo #199 will be held at Old St. Andrew's Parish in Charleston, August 27-30, 2026. Soon, candidates and team members will gather for a weekend of faith, fellowship, and life-changing encounters with Christ. We are praying for a weekend filled with grace, renewal, friendship, and the unmistakable presence of the Holy Spirit. At the center of it all is a simple and powerful invitation: let the light of Christ shine through us.
Stephen Fulghum, Lay Rector for Cursillo #199, has prayerfully chosen the theme, "Let Your Light Shine," rooted in Matthew 5:16. This theme reminds us that the light is Christ's. Our calling is to let His light shine through our prayer, service, worship, encouragement, sponsorship, and love. Stephen's hope and prayer is that every act of preparation and every expression of support will make room for God to work in the candidates, the team, and the wider Fourth Day community.
How You Can Support Cursillo #199
As Cursillo #199 approaches, there are simple and meaningful ways to surround the weekend with prayer, encouragement, and joyful support:
- Pray for Stephen Fulghum, Weekend Lay Rector, and the team as they prepare and serve.
- Pray for each candidate and participant, asking the Holy Spirit to open hearts, renew lives, and strengthen relationships.
